Skaftafell Airport is a base of commercial aviation operation and pilots are asked to report promptly on the local frequency to assure safety and seperation of aircraft.
Pilots are also asked to respect the natural attractions and outdoor activities surrounding the airport, and strive to cause the least amount of disruption possible.

Skaftafell Airport is open to all flights which are able to use it provided that pilots adhere to the local rules.
Pilots using the airport do so at their own risk.
Aircraft flying close to the airport, below 2000 feet, should call „Skaftafell traffic“ on 118.400 MHZ with relevant information.
